| Q | Once you create my eBook, who owns the rights to it? |
| A | You do. The book is your creation, and you retain all rights. |
| Q | How long does an eBook take to download? |
| A | It depends on the size of the file: including such things as the number of graphics/photographs, and speed of the Internet connection. |
| Q | Will my eBook be in colour or black & white? |
| A | It can be either or both. |
| Q | How can I prevent someone from copying my eBook? |
| A | Security features can be added to eBook which lock the file to prevent editing and copying. The PDF file of your eBook can also be made non-printing. |
| Q | How can I prevent online theft of my eBook? |
| A | Again, security features can be added that allow the downloaded file to be opened on only one computer and in preview mode only; once payment is received for your book, an unlock code will be provided to the customer. |
| Q | Is it easy to make changes to my eBook after publication? |
| A | Yes! We can easily make changes to the source file for minimal cost or even no charge for minor changes. |
| Q | Why should I choose an eBook over a printed book? |
| A | The main reasons are time and money. To see more advantages, check out our Comparison page. |
| Q | Can my eBook be easily converted into a print version? |
| A | Yes. Once your book is edited, the layout will just need to be tweaked for a hardcover/paperbook printed version. Of course, then you incur all those very expensive production and storage costs. |
| Q | What if a customer wants a printed copy of my eBook, but they don’t want to download/buy it over the Internet? |
| A | Offer a “printed” version of your eBook that you can send to them. Either print your eBook at home, or go to your local copy centre and have them print it. Then get the copy centre to coil/spiral bind your printed eBook. You may want to have a dozen copies ready to go for these types of requests. Make sure you charge extra for this service – including the shipping costs. |
